DAY 1 ATHENS – WARSAW – KRAKOW
Flight to Warsaw. Arrival and direct departure to Krakow (UNESCO). During our tour we will admire the castle on Wawel Hill, the Cathedral with the royal tombs, Kanonicza Street, the Church of Saints Peter and Paul, etc. In the center of the old town, on the large square of Rinek Glovni, is Sukienice, a medieval textile market that now houses tourist shops. In the same square dominates the Church of the Dormition of the Virgin and other buildings of historical and artistic value. Then transfer and check-in at the hotel. Overnight.
DAY 2 KRAKOW – ALOTORYCHIA – KRAKOW
Breakfast and departure for the famous salt mines of Wieliczka, one of the oldest salt mines (UNESCO). On our route we will admire beautiful caves, corridors (about 300 km of which 3.5 km can be visited), located at a depth of 64-135 m, salt statues, salt crystal chandeliers, chapels, and even a Cathedral . Return to Krakow. Overnight.
DAY 3 KRAKOW – AUSCHWITZ – WROCLAW
Breakfast and departure for one of the largest Nazi concentration camps, Auschwitz, where more than 1.5 million people died during World War II (UNESCO). It included several units, the largest being Birkenau. We continue to Wrocław, the “Venice of Poland”, built on 12 islands of the Oder River. City tour, during which we will see the main square Rynek, the City Hall, the Cathedral and the University. Transfer and check-in at the hotel. Overnight.
DAY 4 Wrocław – KIAZ CASTLE – Świdnica – Wrocław
Breakfast and departure for the “pearl of southern Silesia”, the famous castle-palace Książ, one of the largest in the country, built in a wonderful location. We will visit the Nazi underground tunnels. They were built by order of the Führer and their purpose still remains unknown. Some believe they were intended to serve as Hitler’s stronghold, and others believe they were intended for underground secret weapons manufacturing factories. It is also possible that there were bunkers for Nazi officials. On our way back to Wroclaw we will admire the beautiful wooden church of Świdnica, the Church of Peace (UNESCO).
DAY 5 WROCLAW – WARSAW
Breakfast and departure for the capital of Poland, Warsaw, where during World War II it was razed on the orders of SS leader Heinrich Himmler. The most important monuments of the ruined city were restored according to 18th century plans and today its historic center looks like it is 200 years old. We will see the palace and the Castle Square with the column of Sigismund, the Victory Square, the monument to the Heroes of the Ghetto, the statue of the Siren, a symbol of the city and we will end up in the Łazienki Park, with the magnificent Palace in Water and the statue of Chopin inside it. Free time and then transfer and check-in at the hotel. Overnight.
DAY 6 WARSAW – ATHENS
Breakfast and free time. Then transfer to the airport and board the flight to Athens.
