Πρόγραμμα

DAY 1 ATHENS – ROME
Meeting at the airport and departure for Rome. Arrival, meeting with our guide and transfer to the “Eternal City” where we will tour on foot. We will start with the most representative monument of the Roman empire, the imposing Colosseum. There we will photograph the Arch of Constantine which was built to celebrate the victory of the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great over the Emperor Maxentius. Then, walking through the Roman Markets, we will climb the Capitol Hill, today’s City Hall and descend the steps designed by Michelangelo to find ourselves in Piazza Venezia with the imposing Palazzo Vittorian, today’s monument to the unknown soldier. Next to it is the famous Trevi Fountain with its impressive fountain, Via del Corso, the most important shopping street of the city and the Pantheon,
Our tour ends with Piazza Navona, an oval-shaped square full of outdoor cafes, restaurants, and we’ll end up at the Tiber River. In front of the Areopagus, one of the largest buildings in Italy, we will board the bus. On the way we will pass by the castle of the Angels, the mausoleum of Emperor Andrian, one of the most beautiful buildings of antiquity. Arrival and check-in at the hotel and free time. For the afternoon we suggest a visit to the famous “Spain” square and the majestic Spanish steps, where we will admire the obelisk and the beautiful church as well as the haute couture houses located there. From here begins the famous Via Condotti with the most luxurious stores of Italian and French fashion houses and the famous historical cafe “Greco” which has been operating since 1760.

DAY 2 VATICAN MUSEUMS & ST. PETER’S BASILICA
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to one of the world’s top museums and smallest state, the Vatican. Guided tour of the Vatican Museums (declaration of participation with your reservation). We will admire vast collections of priceless works of art and sculpture culminating in the famous Sistine Chapel. This is the chapel of the Apostolic Palace, where its decoration is a reference to the Temple of the Old Testament and it is a huge exhibit with masterpieces, as its frescoes, its architecture, its frescoes, its ceilings are crafted by the greatest “masters” of the Renaissance. This is followed by a guided tour of St. Peter’s Square and a visit to the imposing church of the same name, St. Peter’s Basilica (as long as it is open to the public), where inside there are hundreds of statues with the highlight being the Pieta of Michelangelo. Free time.
