DAY 1 ATHENS – OSLO
Fly through a stopover to Oslo. Arrival and tour of the city, during which we will see the Parliament, the Neoclassical Palace, the modern City Hall, the Opera, etc. Transfer and check-in at the hotel. Free time to explore Aker Brygge with its restaurants and bars. Overnight.
DAY 2 OSLO (TOUR)
Breakfast and departure to Frogner Park, with the famous sculptures of Gustav Vigeland and we continue to the Bygdøy peninsula, with the main museums of Oslo. We will visit the Fram Museum, where we will learn about the history of Norwegian exploration of the North and South Poles between 1893 and 1912 and the Kon-Tiki Museum, with the boats used by the explorer Thor Hejdahl in some of the great sea voyages in modern history. Next is the Norwegian Museum of History and Culture, the country’s largest folklore museum. We will get to know their way of life, customs and everyday life as well as the oldest building, the Gol Stave church from 1200. Next to it is the medieval Akershus Fortress and Holmenkollen, to enjoy the view from the ski platform (weather permitting). Return to the hotel. Overnight.
DAY 3 OSLO – Kristiansand – STAVANGER
After breakfast we will depart for the Norwegian countryside. We will admire picturesque villages, lakes and fjords. We will visit the town of Kristiansand and end up in beautiful Stavanger, the third largest city in Norway, also known as the “Oil Capital of Europe”. Surrounded by fjords, mountains and beaches, it has many museums and cultural events. Old Stavanger is home to Europe’s best-preserved wooden settlement. Transfer and check-in at the hotel. Overnight.
DAY 4 STAVANGER – LYSEFJORD CRUISE – STAVANGER
After breakfast we will board the ship for our 42 km long cruise. Lysefjord. We will see the imposing rock Preikestolen, which rises 604m. above the fjord and the “Swords on the Rock”, almost 10m high. One represents the sword of “Harald the Just” and both peace and unity. This is followed by a tour of Stavanger, during which we will see the old town with more than 170 wooden houses from the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the 20th century. Return to the hotel. Overnight.
DAY 5 STAVANGER – BERGEN
After breakfast we will depart for Bergen, the “Jewel of the North Sea”. On our route we will admire waterfalls, rivers, lakes, fjords and small villages (it will take place by road and by boat). Arrival and tour, where we will see the park, the 13th century King Haakon’s Palace, the Rozencrantz Tower from 1560 and the Grieghall concert hall. Next is the famous fish market and the old part of the city, the docks of the Bryggen district (UNESCO). We will walk through the picturesque alleys with colorful wooden houses, elegant boutiques, galleries, bars, cafes and traditional restaurants. Finally, we will go up with the traditional cable car to the height of 320m. Fløyen hill, to enjoy the panoramic view. Transfer and check-in at the hotel. Overnight.
DAY 6 GUNDVANGEN – SOGNEFJORD CRUISE – FLAMINGO
After breakfast we will depart for Gudvangen, where we will board the ship to tour the Sognefjord. Arrival in the picturesque village of Flåm and boarding the cogwheel. We will see the lonely mountain Myrdal, the village of Voss, known for its famous bottled water and the beautiful waterfall Tvindefossen. Return to the hotel. Overnight.
DAY 7 BERGEN (FREE DAY)
Breakfast and free day. We suggest you visit the Bergen Aquarium, one of the richest in Europe. You will admire penguins, seals, sea elephants, etc.
DAY 8 BERGEN – ATHENS
After breakfast, transfer to the airport and board the flight to Athens.
