EASTER IN CHIOS

DAY 1 M. FRIDAY: ATHENS – CHIOS – EPITAPHIOS
Gathering at 15:00 noon at the airport El. Venizelos and flight to Chios. Arrival on the island, boarding the bus and our acquaintance with the island begins. We will see its famous and well-preserved castle and end up in the town of Chios to visit the Argentis Ethnological and Folklore Museum. Then we will follow the epitaph circulation. Departure for the hotel of your choice GOLDEN SAND BEACH HOTEL 4* in Karfas or GRECIAN CASTLE RESORT HOTEL 4* in the center. Buffet dinner with fasting and flavored options and overnight stay.

DAY 2 M. SATURDAY: MASTIHA MUSEUM – PYRGI – MESTA – VRONTADOS
Buffet breakfast and departure for the Mastic Museum of Chios. It is located in Mastichohoria, a set of medieval villages in the south of Chios, in the only place in the Mediterranean where the mastic known today all over the world is grown and produced. Then we will visit Pyrgi, the “painted village”, as it is called because of the elaborate decorative patterns on the facades of the buildings. Then follows the medieval village of Mesta, where we will have free time for a walk, coffee and lunch. Return to the hotel for rest. In the evening we will go to the village of Vrontados to watch the custom of the rocket war. Return to the hotel for the resurrection dinner with traditional cooking. Overnight.

DAY 3 EASTER SUNDAY: EASTER LUNCH
Breakfast and free time until the Easter meal. Traditional lamb, various cold and hot appetizers, rooster and full buffets accompanied by live music make up the Easter table. In the early afternoon we will be transferred to Chora for a walk (optional). Overnight.

DAY 4 EASTER MONDAY: CRUISE TO OINOUSSE (OPTIONAL)
Breakfast and free day. We suggest you join us on the cruise to the beautiful Oinousses (optional). Walking in Naftosynis Square, you come across the statue of the Unknown Sailor, the first statue in Greece dedicated to the lost sailors. Visit to the impressive Maritime Museum and free time in the picturesque streets of the island. Boarding the boat for our return to Chios. Our evening free, dinner and overnight.

DAY 5 TUESDAY: NEW MONASTERY OF CHIOS – AUGONYMA – ATHENS
Breakfast buffet and departure for the New Monastery of Chios, a building of the 11th century and dedicated to the Dormition of the Virgin. Then we will visit the village of Avgonima. Time for coffee and lunch. Then we will transfer to Chios airport for our return flight to Athens.
