DAY 1 ATHENS – LARNACA – PAPHOS – LIMESOS
Flight to Larnaca. Arrival and tour of the city, during which we will see the church of Agios Lazaros, the central Finikoudes Avenue and the picturesque wetland with the Alykes, with the beautiful flamingos. We continue with the museum city, Paphos. We will cross Fassouri with its green orange groves and vineyards, the English base of the Episcopacy, and we will reach the “Petra tou Romiou”, where, according to mythology, the goddess Aphrodite was born from the foam of the sea. Visit to the Tombs of the Kings and the Column of the Apostle Paul. We can visit the famous mosaics in the Palace of Dionysus, Theseus and Aeon, considered among the most beautiful in the Eastern Mediterranean, in the picturesque port with the castle (UNESCO). Limassol is next. Transfer and check-in at the hotel. Overnight.
DAY 2 LIMESOS – NICOSIA – LIMESOS
Breakfast and departure for Nicosia. Arrival and guided tour of the city, during which we will see the Cathedral of Saint John, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Venetian Walls and the Imprisoned Monuments. Walking along the pedestrian street of Ledras Street and through the alleys, we will reach Occupied Nicosia and admire the Cathedral of Agia Sophia, which today functions as a mosque. Free time and return to Limassol. Overnight.
DAY 3 LIMESOS – MOUNTAIN RESORTS – PLATRES – LIMESOS
After breakfast, we will depart for the famous mountain resorts, in the Troodos mountain range. We will admire picturesque villages, wine villages and green landscapes. Visit to one of the most important monasteries of the Christian world, Panagia Kykkos. We will see the tomb of Ethnarch Makarios, located on the “Throne of the Virgin Mary”. We continue to the picturesque village of Platres, with its wonderful climate, green surroundings and running waters, at an altitude of 1,200m. For the Easter departures, in the evening we will attend the Resurrection Liturgy. Resurrecting dinner with frolics, cookout and overnight stay.
DAY 4 LIMASOS (FREE DAY)
Breakfast and free day to explore the city. This is followed by an Easter meal with ovelia and various Cypriot dishes, accompanied by live music. In the afternoon we suggest you enjoy the facilities of your hotel. Overnight.
DAY 5 LIMASOS – SALAMINA – AMMOCHOSTOS – AGIA NAPA – ATHENS
Breakfast and departure for the southeastern part of the island, in the Occupied Territories. We will tour Ancient Salamis, birthplace of the Apostle Barnabas and see the Ancient Theatre, the Gymnasium and the Amphitheater. In Famagusta we will admire the Gothic Cathedral of Agios Nikolaos, the walls of the old city with the ramparts, the Church of Agios Ioannis, etc. Next is Ayia Napa, with its beautiful coastline and its special touristic development. Free time and transfer to the airport. Boarding the flight to Athens.
