DAY 1 ATHENS – BILBAO
Flight to Bilbao. Transfer and check-in at the hotel followed by a walking tour of the city. Overnight.
DAY 2 BILBAO (TOUR)
Breakfast and guided tour of Bilbao. We will enjoy the panoramic view from the top of the Archada hill. We will admire the basilica of Our Lady of Begonia, patroness of the city and sailors, where the statue of the Virgin is kept and we will explore on foot the picturesque alleys of Casco Viejo. Around the Gothic Cathedral of St. James, the entire medieval city of Bilbao developed, and later the Plaza Nueva. We will see imposing palaces and in the afternoon we will have free time. Overnight.
DAY 3 BILBAO
After breakfast, we will visit the Guggenheim Museum, designed by Frank Gehry. It is the hallmark of a former industrial city that is now buzzing with art and culture. Next is the suburb of Getso, in the port area, with the famous Vizcaya Bridge. Free time. Overnight.
DAY 4 BILBAO – VITORIA – PAMPLONA – SAN SEBASTIAN
Breakfast and departure for Vitoria Gasteis, with its medieval center on the hill above the square of the White Virgin. Climbing to its top, we will tour among Renaissance mansions of the 16th century, the Cathedral of Santa Maria and the “Portalon”, the well-known inn of the 15th century. We will admire the Church of Saint Michael with the statue and the twin squares of the White Virgin and the Plaza de España, with the City Hall. Next is Pamplona, ​​known for its bullfighting festival. We will see green parks and the well-kept center with its picturesque alleys, the Plaza del Castillo, the Cathedral of Santa Maria and the Plaza Constitución with the impressive City Hall. Free time for a walk and lunch. In the afternoon transfer to our hotel in San Sebastian followed by a tour of Monte Igueldo, to the bay of La Concha, where we will enjoy the amazing view with the island of Santa Clara and Monte Urgul. Passing along the long beach of La Concha and Centro Romantico, with its elegant buildings, we end up in Parte Vieja. In the evening we suggest you have fun at one of the Pintxos Bars or taste local delicacies. Overnight.
DAY 5 SAN SEBASTIAN – ODEARIBIA – BAYON – BIARIDGE
Breakfast and departure for picturesque Ontaribia, with its medieval walls, fortresses and historic palaces. Next is the French region of the Basque Country. We will visit the picturesque Bayonne, at the confluence of the Nive and Adour rivers. We will admire its historic center, with its characteristic timber-framed buildings and the Cathedral. A city of art with a great cultural heritage and culinary traditions, it is famous for its ham and chocolate. Next is Biarritz, on the ocean, with many shops and wonderful patisseries, vacation spot for the imperial family. We will see the imposing Hôtel du Palais and the impressive coastal zone, with the Rock of the Virgin. The aristocratic mansions and the Casino are preserved monuments of cultural heritage and landmarks of Belle Epoque and Art Deco aesthetics. Walking tour of the beach and return to the hotel in the afternoon. Overnight.
DAY 6 SAN SEBASTIAN – BILBAO – ATHENS
Breakfast and departure via a beautiful route to the seaside resort of Zarautz, known for its long beach, with the small fishing village of Getaria. Then transfer to the airport and board the return flight.
