DAY 1 ATHENS – GRAZ – SALZBURG
Flight to Vienna. Arrival and immediate departure for Graz, built on the banks of the Mura river, with its old town (UNESCO). Free time and departure for Mozart’s birthplace, Salzburg. Its name means “Castle of Salt”, as during the Roman era, its economic power was based on “white gold”, i.e. mineral salt. Transfer and check-in at the hotel. Overnight.
DAY 2 SALZBURG (SIGHTSEEING)
Breakfast and city tour, during which we will see the Mirabel Palace (exterior) and after crossing the Salzach river, arrive at Getreidegasse, the main shopping street of the old town with its narrow streets, beautiful buildings, temples and impressive Hohensalzburg Castle, on top of the hill. Among elegant boutiques and shop windows is the house where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) was born, which is now the Museum of the same name with interesting personal and family items. Free time. Overnight.
DAY 3 SALZBURG – SWAROVSKI MUSEUM – INNSBRUCK – SALZBURG
Breakfast and departure for Wattens, where we will visit the one-of-a-kind Swarovski Museum. We will tour the glittering corridors and ‘Halls of Wonders’. It has a shop where we can buy some of the unique creations of the house. Next is Innsbruck, where we will see the baroque architectural buildings of the city, the squares, the main boulevard Maria Theresienstrasse (Maria Theresa), the Golden Roof, the Cathedral of St. James, the Hofburg palaces, the Maximilian Mausoleum, the Arch of Triambou et al. Free time and return to Salzburg. Overnight.
DAY 4 SALTZKAMERGUT LAKES – HALLSTAT – BAD ISLAND – VIENNA
After breakfast we will depart for the Salzkammergut lake region. We will visit the picturesque village of St. Gilgen, on the shores of Lake Wolfgang. Next is Hallstatt, the “pearl of Austria”, built on a steep bank of the lake of the same name (UNESCO). Free time for coffee or lunch. For those who wish, there is an optional visit to one of the oldest salt mines in the world, where we will admire one of the most beautiful caves with an underground lake. We continue to the spa town of Bad Ischl (Bad Ischl), with its hot springs. Free time and departure for Vienna. Arrival and check-in at our hotel. In the afternoon, with the help of the leader, we will tour the city on foot. Overnight.
DAY 5 VIENNA
Breakfast and city tour, during which we will see the Danube Tower, the building of the Friends of Music Association, where the famous New Year’s concert takes place. We continue along Ping Avenue, where we will admire famous works of architecture, such as the former Ministry of War, the Museum of Applied Arts, the Municipal Park, the Vienna State Opera, the twin Museums and the Hofburg Winter Palace. This is followed by the gate of Francis Joseph, the neoclassical Parliament with its richly decorated facade, the neo-Gothic Town Hall, the Palatine Theatre, the University, the central market Naasmarkt, the Greek Quarter, the Gothic Cathedral of St. Stephen, etc. Free time. Overnight.
DAY 6 VIENNA – VIENNESE FORESTS – MAYERLING – BADEN – ATHENS
Breakfast and departure for the Viennese Forests. We will see the Liechtenstein Tower, the well-known family that runs the principality between Austria and Switzerland, the monastery of the Holy Cross and the area of ​​Mayerling, famous for the romance of Prince Joseph and Maria Vecera. Our green route will take us to the historic spa town of Baden, known for its thermal springs and cosmopolitan air. Then transfer to the airport and board the flight to Athens.

The 5-day program does not include the excursion to the Austrian Lakes.
