October 28 excursion to Preveza – Tzoumerka (3 days)

1st DAY Athens – Arta – Preveza
Departure at 07:00 from Athens time for Arta with its traditional bridge and castle and from there for the island of Preveza. Arrival and check-in at MARGARONA ROYAL 3* in Preveza and dinner in the evening.

2nd DAY Nicopolis – Roman Aqueduct – Acheron – Necromanteion
Buffet breakfast and our day begins with a visit to the Roman Nicopolis with its long history, founded by Octavian in 31 BC. (Individual expenses, for entrance and guided tour). Then the imposing Roman Aqueduct is added to our tours, and we continue to the village of Ammoudia where, weather permitting, we will do the famous boating (individual expenses) at the mouth of the Homeric River Acheron. This is followed by a visit to one of the most important archaeological sites in the region, the Necromandeion (individual expenses). From there we will head to the springs of Acheron to enjoy the scenery. Time for lunch and coffee, return to the hotel and dinner in the evening.

3rd DAY Tzoumerka – Agnanta – Wind Cave – Pramanta
Buffet breakfast and departure for a fantastic route to Tzoumerka. Through Plaka, we head to the capital village of Agnantos, where there is time for a coffee and a walk, and then a visit to the cave of Anemotrypa (individual expenses). Break for lunch in Pramanta and we return to our hotel. Rest and dinner in the evening.

4th DAY Nafpaktos – Athens
Buffet breakfast and departure for Nafpaktos, one of the oldest and most beautiful Greek cities, which experienced periods of great prosperity and was associated with important historical events. Here we will see the legendary port that encapsulates the history of the Naval Battle of Nafpaktos and the castle that dominates the city. Free time for food and coffee (individual expenses) and return to Athens via Rio – Antirrio with intermediate stops.
