DAY 1 ATHENS – BUCHAREST
Meeting at the airport and flight to the capital of Romania. It is a country with enchanting landscapes, medieval castles, Gothic churches and charming, “colored” cities! Arrival in Bucharest, transfer to our hotel and settling in the rooms. Overnight.
DAY 2 BUCHAREST
After breakfast, a panoramic tour of the most important sights of the city follows. Bucharest is often referred to as the “Paris of the Balkans” thanks to its wide boulevards, Belle Epoque buildings, green parks and shopping streets. We will tour the Victoria and Universitatzi squares, we will admire the Athenaeum, the National Theater of Luca Caraziale, the Tzimitsiou garden, the Fire Tower, the Metropolis Hill, etc. Afternoon free to explore the city. Return to our hotel and stay overnight.

DAY 3 SINAIA – PELES CASTLE – BRASOV
After breakfast we depart for the legendary Carpathians. After crossing the valley of the Prahova river we arrive at Sinaia, the “pearl of the Carpathians”, where we will visit the impressive Peles castle. A masterpiece of Renaissance architecture, it was the summer residence of the Royal family. The order for its construction was given by Charles I and it is the first castle in Europe to be lit by electricity. We will admire its wood-carved decoration, the Hall of Arms and the collections from all over the world. We continue to Brasov, a green city in the “heart” of Romania. Arrival, transfer and check-in at the hotel. Overnight.

DAY 4 Sighisoara – Brasov
Breakfast and we depart for the historical region of Transylvania where we will visit the medieval castle-state of Sighisoara (UNESCO). It is famous for the 11 well-preserved Towers located along the old city walls. Early afternoon return to Brasov and tour of the beautiful 18th century city. In the pedestrianized central square with the impressive fountain and we will admire the Black Church, the “House of the Merchants”, the ornate building of the Town Hall and the Catherine’s Gate. Return to our hotel. Overnight.

DAY 5 SIMPIU
Breakfast and we depart for medieval Sibiu, an important cultural center of Romania (UNESCO). Arrival and we start our tour of the old town. We will see the Cathedral, which is built on the foundations of the Byzantine church of Hagia Sophia, Huet Square with the Evangelical Church surrounded by five towers and the old Town Hall. Return to our hotel. Overnight.

DAY 6 BRASOV – BRAN FORTRESS – BUCHAREST – ATHENS
After our breakfast we will depart for Bran village where we will visit the famous Bran Castle or Count Dracula’s Tower. According to legends it was the residence of Prince Vlad the Impaler and a source of inspiration for Bram Stoker’s novel. It dates from the 13th century and is a national monument of Romania. Transfer to Bucharest for our return flight to Athens.
